In partnership with Schneider Electric, GlassTrend will stage an onsite seminar on ‘Smart Sustainable Glass Manufacturing’ for members on 17-18 October 2023 in Grenoble, France.

Decarbonisation is one of the key challenges of the glass industry in the transition to sustainable glass manufacturing. Next to the development and implementation of sustainable technologies, smart sensors, and process control are required to optimise the use of these technologies in view of CO2 footprint and energy efficiency.

GlassTrend is organising this in-person event to follow-up the previous edition that took place earlier this year. The event will be the opportunity to discuss various aspects of smart sustainable glass manufacturing including:

• sustainable fuels

• low-carbon raw materials

• sensors

• data analytics/digitization

The program schedule is forthcoming and will be available soon. The seminar will take place at IntenCity, Schneider Electric’s flagship building that boasts a low carbon footprint to illustrate what a smart and efficient building today actually is and link with the future-oriented theme of the event.

As preferred journal of GlassTrend, Glass Worldwide will publish exclusive adaptations of a selection of presentations in forthcoming issues.
