BV Glas Has a New President
The Bundesverband Glasindustrie (BV Glas) has elected Dr. Christian Quenett, Head of Architectural Glass Europe at the NSG Group and board member of Pilkington Deutschland, as the new president. He succeeds Dr. Frank Heinricht, Chairman of the Board of Management of SCHOTT, who remains a member of the Presidium.
Pascal Decker, CEO of Saint-Gobain Glass Deutschland, was newly elected to the Executive Board. Confirmed were Dr. Barbara März, Managing Director of Wöllner and Oliver Wiegand, Managing Director of Wiegand-Glashüttenwerke.
Dr. Quenett is looking forward to the new task: “The challenges for the glass industry have become increasingly greater in recent years. In addition to coping with the current economic situation, we are facing a major upheaval with the transformation of the glass industry to climate neutrality. The association will closely monitor this, especially in order to create the energy policy framework.”
